HC Deb 28 April 1927 vol 205 c1003
21. Mr. BARKER

asked the Minister of Health if he has received complaints as to the scale of relief given by the appointed guardians at Blaina and Nantyglo, and Abertillery; and, in view of the distress in these areas, will he inquire into the matter?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have received one representation in general terms from Blaina, and I have asked that particulars shall be given of any specific cases complained of. In the meantime, I do not see any present grounds for such an investigation as is suggested.
