HC Deb 28 April 1927 vol 205 c1001
15. Mr. R. MORRISON

asked the Minister of Health whether he has yet received the special Report of the Inter-Departmental Committee upon prices of building materials as to the reasons why, despite lower fuel costs, the prices of bricks, glazed ware, and other building materials are still higher than before the coal stoppage?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

No, Sir.

Colonel WEDGWOOD

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman when he expects the Report of this Committee?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have no particular date in mind, but I take it that it will be as soon as the Committee are ready to present it.

Colonel WEDGWOOD

Will the right hon. Gentleman realise the enormous importance of getting this Report, in view of the initial protective duties now being introduced?
