HC Deb 26 April 1927 vol 205 cc672-3
Mr. CLYNES

With regard to the Budget Resolutions on the Order Paper for to-day, may I ask the Prime Minister how far he intends to go this evening and about what time he expects the House to rise?

The PRIME MINISTER

That is not an easy question to answer on the first day of the Budget Resolutions, but I hope the House will not rise until it has dealt with the Tobacco Duty.

Mr. MACPHERSON

Will the Prime Minister consider the possibility of allocating Thursday also for the further discussion of the Budget Resolutions, in view of the fact that to-morrow, after 8.15 p.m., there is Private Members' business?

The PRIME MINISTER

I think the right hon. Gentleman is under a misapprehension. If my memory be correct, Thursday has already been allocated.
