HC Deb 13 April 1927 vol 205 cc343-4
9. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether assurances have yet been received that the persons seized on the Russian Legation premises at Peking when the premises were raided by forces of Chang Tso-Lin will be brought to trial in a regular manner; whether such assurances were asked for before His Majesty's Minister Plenipotentiary at Peking gave his consent to the raid being carried out and whether any of the persons arrested have been executed?

Sir A. CHAMBERLAIN

I have as yet no information as to the first part of the question. The reply to the second and third parts is, so far as I am aware, in the negative.
