HC Deb 13 April 1927 vol 205 c366
39. Mr. RYE (for Mr. EVERARD)

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the serious inconvenience to the inhabitants of Coalville caused by the level crossing at the railway station; and whether he will be prepared to make a grant from the Road Fund if a scheme for building a bridge can be arranged?

Captain Viscount CURZON (for Colonel ASHLEY)

This level crossing has been the subject of informal discussion between members of the staff of my right hon. Friend's Department and officers of the local authorities concerned. If the latter, in conjunction with the railway company, can formulate a satisfactory scheme, my right hon. Friend will give due consideration to any application they may make for assistance, but he cannot make any definite pledge in the absence of the requisite particulars.

Mr. ERNEST BROWN

Seeing that this important mining town is in the Market Bosworth Division, does the hon. and gallant Gentleman not think it is time that that Division had a Member on the Floor of this House?
