asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has received in the past financial year any ex-gratiâ contributions to the Treasury from men of wealth; and, if so, what is the total amount that has been received, including amounts of interest relinquished on Government Bonds?

The ex-gratiâ contributions to the Exchequer received from private individuals during the past financial year have been as follow:

Cash, including dividends relinquished 11,727
Making a total of £73,927
