HC Deb 06 April 1927 vol 204 c2056
46. Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCE

asked the Prime Minister whether he is now in a position to state the intentions of the Government with regard to the enfranchisement of women?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer the hon. Member. to what I said on this subject in reply to the right hon. Member for the Flatting Division of Manchester arising out of the statement on business on the 31st March.

Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCE

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what day he will be in a position to answer this question?

The PRIME MINISTER

I cannot add anything to the statement which I have made about a dozen times, but I will make a statement before we adjourn for the Easter Recess.
