§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDAt 21st February, 1927, the number of seamen of all nationalities on the registers of Employment Exchanges in Great Britain was 14,749. I am unable to say how many were in receipt of unemployment benefit. Separate figures for seamen of British nationality are not available.
