HC Deb 25 October 1926 vol 199 c566
The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

I do not know whether it would be for the convenience of the House to meet at 11 o'clock to-morrow. If it is, I shall move. [HON. MEMBERS: "No!"] In the circumstances, the House will meet at the usual time.

Mr. BECKETT

Should not this have been on the Order Paper in the ordinary way, instead of being brought forward at the last minute?

Mr. SPEAKER

A Motion can only be made with the assent of the House, in the absence of notice.
