§ 75. Captain FAIRFAXasked the Minister of Health if he can say how many deaths have resulted from the outbreaks of infantile paralysis in Leicester and Broadstairs?
§ Sir K. WOODI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which I gave on this subject to the hon. Member for North Camberwell (Mr. Ammon) on the 25th October last. There have been no further deaths from infantile paralysis in Leicester since that date, but three more deaths have occurred as a result of the Broadstairs outbreak.
§ Captain FAIRFAXCan the hon. Gentleman say whether any of the large schools, besides Uppingham, have had to be closed down?
§ Sir K. WOODNot that I am aware of, but if the hon. and gallant Gentleman will give me notice, I will inquire.
