asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Government have accepted the Report of the East African Guarantee Loans Committee on the subject of the Zambezi bridge, or whether they will seek any further opinion?

In accordance with the recommendation of the East African Guaranteed Loan Committee, a railway expert is visiting Nyasaland to examine the railway communications. Arrangements are also being made for expert reports in a northwesterly railway extension, on dredging the Shire River and on the economic prospects of the country.
