§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDI will answer these questions together. The number registered at Employment Exchanges in Great Britain on 1st November, 1926, was 1,559,200, as compared with 1,207,612 at 2nd November, 1925. The figure for November, 1926, is exclusive of workpeople in the coal-mining industry who ceased work on account of the dispute.
