§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINI have had a general statement to the effect that they would welcome negotiations for putting our relations on a better footing from the representatives of the Soviet in this country, and I have indicated to them the conditions precedent to successful negotiations.
§ Mr. TAYLORCould the right hon. Gentleman say what those conditions are?
§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINFirst and foremost, that I should be able to give this House a guarantee that the one political condition which was embodied in the Trade Agreement would henceforth be kept.
