HC Deb 05 May 1926 vol 195 c275
27. Mr. H. WILLIAMS

asked the Attorney-General if his attention has been drawn to the disabilities of married women whose husbands have deserted them or have acquired domicile overseas; and if he will consider introducing legislation to remove these disabilities?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir William Joynson-Hicks)

I have been asked to reply. The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920, provides means for the transmission of maintenance orders to those parts of His Majesty's Dominions where the necessary legislation has been passed with a view to enforcement against defendants there.
