HC Deb 29 March 1926 vol 193 cc1629-30
15. Mr. DUNCAN

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now in a position to state his decision with regard to the petition submitted to his predecessor by a deputation from Gibraltar on 8th August, 1924?

Mr. AMERY

I regret that I am not yet in a position to state the decision of His Majesty's Government on the petition in question.

Mr. DUNCAN

How much longer will it be? Would the right hon. Gentleman like to receive a deputation from Gibraltar?

Mr. AMERY

I am not over-anxious to receive many deputations. I agree the matter has been rather delayed, but I am trying to open it up.
