§ The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)For the general convenience of the House, it is proposed to allot an extra half-day on Tuesday for the Second Reading of the Electricity Bill, and to obtain the Second Reading by 8.15 on Tuesday. As already announced, on Wednesday we shall consider the Economy Bill in Committee.

§ The PRIME MINISTERI do not think there is any need, if the Bill concludes at 8.15.
§ Mr. HENDERSONMay I ask when it is the intention of the Government to move the Adjournment?
§ The PRIME MINISTERIt depends, of course, on the progress made—some time on Thursday.
§ Mr. HENDERSONBut is it the intention that the House should meet at eleven o'clock?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI think, in any case, it would be wise to do that.
§ Mr. HENDERSONIs the Prime Minister aware that representations have been made that there should be no encroachment upon the general discussion on the Adjournment, by proceeding with Government business during that day?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI think there has been some discussion on the matter. We are very anxious to obtain two Clauses in Committee, which I think should be possible, on Wednesday.
§ Sir FREDRIC WISEWhen will the Budget be introduced?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI am afraid I cannot answer that question any more than I could yesterday, because it must depend on the progress made with the Economy Bill.
