HC Deb 23 March 1926 vol 193 cc1012-3
21. Mr. BRIANT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether the new clerical complements of the Factory Office, Royal Army Clothing Department, Pimlico, have yet been fixed; if so, how many posts in each grade have been allotted to this particular office; and, if the complements have not yet been finally decided, can he state the approximate date of publication.?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Captain Douglas King)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. Two Grade II posts and seven Grade III posts have been allotted to the office in question.

22. Mr. BRIANT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is in contemplation to reorganise the Army ordnance services from a depot point of view; whether consideration is being given to the possibility of moving the Army Clothing Depot and/or the department of the A.D.O.S. Provision from Pumlico; and. if so, whether, prior to a decision being reached, the staffs concerned will be given an opportunity of submitting their views on the proposals to the Army Council or other competent authority?

Captain KING

The Army ordnance services are constantly under review. Consideration is being given to the future of the Army Clothing Depot and the department of the A.D.O.S. Provision at Pimlico. A decision on this question is a matter of administrative policy, and must rest with the Army Council.
