§ SHOREHAM HARBOUR BILL (by Order).
§ Order for Second Reading read.
§ The CHAIRMAN of WAYS and MEANS (Mr. James Hope)I think that the hon. and gallant Gentleman must be under some misapprehension. The Members who put down notices of objection to this Bill have withdrawn them. I understand that the promoters of the Bill have given undertakings that satisfy all the objections of which I have heard.
Captain EVANSI was asked to object to this Bill on behalf of shipping interests. I did not know that any settlement had been arrived at, and I beg to withdraw my objection.
§ Bill read a Second time, and committed.
