§ Sir W. DAVISONHow it is that the information that is at the disposal of my hon. Friend's Department is not the same as the information which is common in the City of London; and is he aware that the Press of the country have been definitely stating (including the Financial Correspondent of the "Times"), that over £400,000 was imported? Does he not think it desirable that the Treasury should keep abreast of the latest information regarding the importation of gold?
§ Mr. McNEILLIt is more important that the Press should have accurate information.
