HC Deb 18 March 1926 vol 193 c587
45. Major-General Sir ALFRED KNOX

asked the Prime Minister whether any conclusion has yet been arrived at as to the institution of an Inland Cash-on-Delivery Service?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

Yes, Sir. The Government, after careful consideration of the whole subject, have decided that these facilities ought to be afforded to the public. Arrangements have accordingly been made for the institution of an Inland Cash-an-Delivery Service as from Monday. 29th March. Details of the operation of this service will be found in an explanatory leaflet which will be available to-day in the Vote Office.
