§ Captain HACKINGThe estimated expenditure on police services for next year shows an increase attributable in the main to automatic increases in incremental salaries and pensions, to the abolition of the rent cut and to certain increases of effective strength. This has necessitated an increase in the rate for the Metropolis after allowing for the effect of revaluation.
