HC Deb 16 March 1926 vol 193 cc239-40
68. Sir F. MEYER

asked the Minister of Transport whether he proposes to take any further steps, other than the institution of the gyratory system at Hyde Park Corner, to facilitate the movement of traffic between Knightsbridge and Piccadilly Circus and to deal with the present congestion between those points?

Lieut.-Colonel MOORE-BRABAZON

The, answer is in the affirmative. New traffic arrangements were put into opera tion in Piccadilly between Berkeley Street and Piccadilly Circus yesterday, and I hope to instal a system of light signals between the same points at a comparatively early date which I hope will further facilitate the movement of traffic.
