§ 53. Mr. BUXTONasked the Minister of Agriculture whether the scheme for short-term credit and credit for improvements and land purchase, outlined in the Report on Agricultural Credit, lately issued by the Ministry, may be taken to be the scheme proposed by the Government?
Mr. GUINNESSThe Report in question was issued in order that the views it contains might he discussed and considered by the various interests concerned and, as has already been stated, the Government are in communication with the joint stock banks on the subject. I am not in a position to make any further statement at the moment.

Mr. GUINNESSThe inquiry is being made in co-operation with the Bankers' Clearing House, and I think that all the bankers' interests will be considered.
