HC Deb 08 March 1926 vol 192 cc1897-8
39. Captain FAIRFAX

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department if he is aware that a car of foreign manufacture was used by the management of the British Industries Fair; and, if so, why a car of British manufacture was not used?

Mr. A. M. SAMUEL (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

The only car that was used in connection with the London Section of the British Industries Fair, which is organised by my Department, is the private property of the Director of the Exhibitions Division. My hon. and gallant Friend will be glad to hear that the car in question is of a well-known British make.
