Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe average weekly amount at present being paid in 1611 England and Wales under the Widows', Orphans', and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, 1925, as pensions for widows and orphans is, approximately, £100,000. Old age pensions at age 65, are not payable before the 2nd January, 1928. Old age pensions payable at age 70, by virtue of the Act, are not payable before 2nd July, 1926.
