§ 2. Mr. PILCHERasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he can now give the House some information as to the personnel, reference, and probable date of appointment of the Public-Service Commission which is to be set up in India?
§ Earl WINTERTONProvision is being made in the Indian Budget for 1926–27 for the cost of the Public Service Commission, and it is hoped that an announcement as to its personnel and the date of its institution will be made shortly. I do not quite understand the question as to "reference," for it is to be a permanent body like the Civil Service Commission in this country.
