§ 7. Mr. SCURRasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether it is the intention of the Government of India to refer the question of separating the judicial and executive functions to an expert Committee, in view of the desire for this reform repeatedly expressed in the past and recently formulated in the legislative assembly?
§ Earl WINTERTONSo far as I am aware, the answer is in the negative, but this does not mean that the Government of India are not actively engaged in endeavouring to find a satisfactory solution of this difficult question. In some provinces the matter has already been elaborately examined by expert Committees.
