§ 82. Mr. W. THORNEasked the President of the Board of Education how many resolutions he has received from various local education authorities and those passed at public meetings protesting against Circular 1371 and Memorandum 44; and whether the Government have decided to withdraw both Circulars?
§ Lord E. PERCYI have received resolutions from 152 local education authorities and from a number of other bodies and individuals, but the latter have not been classified and tabulated. As regards the second part of the question, I have at present nothing to add to the statement which I made in the Debate on 8th February.
