HC Deb 21 June 1926 vol 197 c35
71. Mr. HARRISON

asked the Minister of Transport whether the total number of commitments upon the Road Fund for the year 1925–26 is greater than those of the year 1924–25; and, if so, by how much?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Colonel Ashley)

The number of grants made would afford a misleading comparison, but the provision for purposes other than schemes expedited for the relief of unemployment was approximately £12,000,000 in 1924–25, as compared with £14,000,000 in 1925–26.
