§ 27. Mr. CAMPBELLasked the Minister of Health whether the Government proposes to adopt the Report of the Select Committee on Nursing Homes; and whether he is aware of the urgency of action which is needed in this respect to meet the condition of less well off middle-class families?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThere has not yet been time for the Government to consider the Report, and I am accordingly unable to make any statement on the first part of the question. The second part of the question does not appear to arise out of the Report, and I can only say that there are in any case no funds at my disposal enabling me to meet what I understand to be the object of my hon. Friend.
