HC Deb 20 July 1926 vol 198 c1045
Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

May I ask the Prime Minister whether it is intended to make a statement to the House, generally, as to the Government's intentions regarding a possible reform of the House of Lords, in view of the fact that, I understand, a large deputation is to be received by the Prime Minister on that subject?

The PRIME MINISTER

It is a fact that a deputation is coming to see me, but I do not know that I shall have anything at the moment to tell either the House or the deputation.

Captain GARRO-JONES

May I ask the Prime Minister whether hon. Members of this House other than Members of his own party will be eligible to attend the deputation, and to express their views?

The PRIME MINISTER

It would be perfectly agreeable to me, but I think it would be less so to the hon. and gallant Member.
