HC Deb 20 July 1926 vol 198 cc1015-6
5. Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

asked the President of the Board of Trade what percentage of the ammonium sulphate produced in Great Britain in 1925 was produced as a by-product in gas works, etc., and what percentage was produced by synthetic methods?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I regret that I have not got this information.

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Would the right hon. Gentleman obtain it for me, and let me have it in due course, if it is possible to get it?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I do not think I can get it.

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Surely the right hon. Gentleman's Department can make search for this very important information. It ought not to be impossible to get it.

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I do not think so. The total amount of sulphate of ammonia is known. I do not think can go any further.

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Can I have that?

Commander WILLIAMS

Will this BP.oo search be very costly?
