KENNEDYasked the Minister of Health if and when it is proposed to introduce legislation to give effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission on National Health Insurance, particularly the recommendation that insurance, committees be abolished and their powers and duties transferred to committees of county and burgh councils?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe recommendations of the Royal Commission on National Health Insurance are receiving careful consideration, but I am not at present in a position to say which of them are to be adopted by the Government, or when it will be possible to introduce the necessary legislation to give effect to such of them as may be adopted and require legislation.
