HC Deb 13 July 1926 vol 198 cc225-6
33. Sir GERALD STRICKLAND

asked the Home Secretary what guarantees, if any, are obtained that a foreign Government will re-admit aliens who may be allowed to enter this country should such aliens become the subject of a deportation order; and whether persons who acquire domicile in Palestine are granted all the rights of a British subject as regards entry into this country?

Captain HACKING

The answer to the first part of the question is that an alien is not admitted to this country unless he is in possession of A national passport or some other document establishing his nationality and identity to the satisfaction of an immigration officer, and it is recognized that a country receives its own nationals. As regards the second part, domicile in Palestine does not affect a person's right of entry into the United Kingdom.
