§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)I have been asked to reply to this question on behalf of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. The utilisation of coal in the form of powdered fuel has been worked out by commercial firms, especially in America. and particulars are available from ordinary sources. No special investigations have, therefore, been carried out by the 1616 Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, but they have published a Report on "Pulverised Coal Systems in America," the third edition of which was issued by His Majesty's Stationery Office early in 1924.
