§ Colonel ASHLEYNumerous expedients have been adopted by various highway authorities with assistance from the Road Fund. I hope to conduct further experiments into this problem under the powers conferred upon me by the Roads Improvement Act, 1925.

§ Colonel ASHLEYI think the hon. Member will agree that we have to a substantial extent improved the road surface, and that at any rate it is very much better than it was.
