asked the Postmaster-General whether he is now in a position to state what is his decision with regard to the pay, conditions and recruit- ment of the staff employed in the cable room upon Government overseas cable and wireless operating?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL

(Sir William Mitchell-Thomson): A claim is about to be presented to the Civil Service Arbitration Court covering the rates of pay of the staff in question. In the meantime I am not in a position to make any statement on the subject.
