HC Deb 23 February 1926 vol 192 cc292-3
58. Mr. BROCKLEBANK

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the cost to date of the credit of $100,000,000 in New York; the total estimated cost for the first year; and how long it is expected that this unused credit will be required?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The cost to date is $1,125,000, being the commission payable in respect of the first year; unless the credit is used there will be no further payment for that year. I cannot at present say whether the credit will be prolonged beyond the end of the year.
