HC Deb 18 February 1926 vol 191 cc2103-4
31. Mr. JENKINS

asked the Home Secretary if he will give the description of diseases under the Workmen's Compensation Acts and Orders that has been scheduled by his Department up to date?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

An up-to-date list of the scheduled diseases with their full descriptions will be found in Appendix II to the Home Office Memorandum on the Acts, which has been printed and put on sale. I will send the hon. Member a copy. Over 30 diseases have been scheduled. In addition to the diseases scheduled under the general provisions of the Act of 1906, silicosis in certain industries has also been dealt with under the special provisions of the Workmen's Compensation (Silicosis) Acts.

Mr. A. V. ALEXANDER

Is the Home Secretary aware of the dissatisfaction which exists as to the administration in connection with silicosis, among people who are being disqualified from further work?

Mr. SPEAKER

That is another question.
