HC Deb 18 February 1926 vol 191 cc2099-100
21. Sir WALTER de FRECE

asked the Home Secretary if he can state the number of towns in the country in which, owing to a difference of licensing hours, residents can obtain alcohol for about half an hour longer at night by merely walking over the borough or county boundary?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I regret that I am not in a, position to furnish this information. As I stated yesterday, in reply to my hon. Friend, no particulars as to the permitted hours in various licensing districts have been collected since 1921.

Mr. HANNON

Is it not of profound importance that there should be some uniformity in hours?
