asked the Minister of Pensions how many applications have been received up to date under the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Scheme in the respect- tive Divisions of Glasgow; how many of those applications have been granted; and how many have been in respect of widows and how many in respect of orphans?

I regret that the information asked for by my hon. Friend is not available, as the statistics relating to claims under the Act are not analysed on a territorial basis. I can give the figures for the whole of Scotland, but as they involve a tabular statement, I propose to circulate them in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
