§ 29. Mr. WHITELEYasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that unemployed workers who are temporarily employed by the local authorities for short periods are being deprived of benefit because the Unemployment Insurance stamps for such periods are not recognised; whether he is prepared to accept the value of such stamps; or, if not, on what section of the Unemployment Insurance Act he bases his refusal to put such stamps to the insured persons' credit?
§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDThe practice is the opposite of that suggested. I 1913 am not aware that stamps properly affixed to books are not recognised, but I shall be happy to inquire into any case if particulars are furnished.
