HC Deb 10 February 1926 vol 191 c1007
1. Mr. FORREST

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any and, if so, what decision has been reached in regard to the proposed sale of the League of Nations' secretariat premises?

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir Austen Chamberlain)

The Secretary-General of the League was prepared to receive offers for the purchase of the site and buildings of the Secretariat up to the 15th of December last. No offer fulfilling the prescribed conditions was received up to that date, and the proposal to sell has lapsed.
