Mr. ELLIS DAVIESasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has received any representation with reference to the high rate of interest charged the Welsh Church Commissioners on the advance made by the Treasury to them on the security of the property formerly belonging to the Welsh Church; and whether, in view of the reduction which has taken place in the rate of interest, he can now reconsider the matter?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to a similar question by the hon. Member for the University of Wales on the 26th March last. There is no question of amending the terms of the loan.
