HC Deb 09 February 1926 vol 191 c816
14. Colonel ENGLAND

asked the President of the Beard of Trade what increases have been made in foreign countries in general textile duties during the last year, indicating the amount in each case?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

To answer this question exhaustively would involve a very large amount of labour, and I propose, therefore, with the hon. and gallant Member's permission, to have circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT, as soon as may be possible, a statement summarising the desired information in regard to the more important countries. In the first place, however, I should be glad if he would let me have an indication of the classes of textiles and the countries which it is desired should be included.
