Bandopadhyaya, a political prisoner, interned last October under Bengal Ordinance, is now seriously ill with filaria; that he is unable to walk as a result; that the disease has been contracted in gaol; and whether the Government will, in view of these facts, consent to his release on compassionate grounds?
