§ Mr. CLYNESMight I ask the Prime Minister to make a statement of business for next week?
§ The PRIME MINISTEROn Monday there will be the continuation and conclusion of the Debate on the Address. 324 We are, I understand, to discuss an Amendment relating to Education moved by the Liberal party. [HON. MEMBERS: "Which?"]
Tuesday: Until 8.15 we shall consider Supplementary Estimates in Committee, beginning with Class I (Building Votes) and Class II Votes; and, if time permit, other Votes on the Paper.
Wednesday, until a Quarter-past Eight, and Thursday, we shall go on with Supplementary Estimates. I hope that the Supplementary Estimates will be in the Vote Office this evening.
§ Mr. CLYNESWill the Prime Minister say whether we shall have an opportunity of discussing the subject of debts referred to by him in his speech on Tuesday?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI certainly could not answer that now. When I made that observation, I was under the impression that the debts were going to be raised as a specific subject of debate on Monday. I find that is not so.
§ Captain GARRO-JONESIs it not a fact that the question of debts was repeatedly raised yesterday, but that neither the Chancellor of the Exchequer nor the Financial Secretary to the Treasury was in his place?
