HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 c302
37. Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Minister of Health whether he has received any resolution passed by the various borough councils in connection with the Blind Persons Act, 1920; and if it is the intention of the Government to alter Sub-section (7) of Section 2 of the above-mentioned Act so as to provide that such trainees or workmen shall continue chargeable to the authority in whose area they originally resided?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have received resolutions from three borough councils relating to the matter mentioned in the last part of the question. It is proposed to refer the subject to the Advisory Committee on the Welfare of the Blind for their consideration.
