§ 51. Sir CHARLES OMANasked the Minister of Health whether, in framing his proposals for consolidation or reform of the Poor Law, he will fully preserve all the obligations and responsibilities of the relieving officer to give every destitute person who is in urgent necessity, whether the necessity is sudden or not, such relief as may be requisite, imposed by the General Consolidated Order (Unions) of 24th July, 1847 and the Poor Law Amendment Act, 1834, Section 98?
