§ Sir J. GILMOUR143,005 barrels of cured herrings have been exported from Scotland this year up to the end of November to Hamburg and 707,642 barrels to Baltic ports; 39,464 barrels remain on hand; 325,388 cwts. of herrings have been exported fresh to Altona for Hamburg during the period mentioned.
